Sumner Select Basketball Family,

I would like to share exciting news about the future of our program.  Over the last year, the coaches and I have been strategizing about how we can further advance our program by making a long lasting commitment to our players and Sumner Select families. We have 53 players that make up 5 teams and for that, I am thankful to everyone from players, parents, coaches, and sponsors for being a part of this journey.  I assure you, we will continue to raise the bar through clinics, practices, games, and community outreach as we progress into the future.  The goal is to not only display a successful brand of basketball, but also provide an opportunity for those interested in making a commitment to us, to assist each individual with achieving their goals.

Across all of our teams, we have began a successful spring season and the hard work our players and coaches have consistently put forth has officially paid off.  Beginning on October 1, 2025, our program will officially be powered by the Under Armour brand and playing on the UA Future Circuit.  This is going to push our commitment to excellence further and begin positioning our players to play against the top talent locally, regionally, and nationally, while continuing to build upon our current foundation.

The UA Future Circuit is built upon middle school athletes beginning in the 5th grade and ending after 8th grade. Throughout the season, all of our teams will continue to play against teams developing and high level teams in their respective age groups. Challenging our players will be intentional to prepare them for our future.  The readiness of our program will be based upon how our players and teams develop individually, how well our teams compete collectively in our remaining tournaments, and how well our family support group is behind our program. In conversations with UA representatives, they are committed to supporting organizations that they consider to be ambassadors to the future amateur basketball. There were extended conversations of the importance of our players and coaches to maintain an emphasis on developing, competing, and coaching within a successful program.  Our coaching staff unanimously agrees that putting our teams in a position to succeed at all times regardless of where or who they are playing against is our primary goal.  Our never give up attitude will be imperative to our success on the UA Future Circuit. I speak for all of the coaches in saying that we are prepared and committed to the challenge in front of us and look forward to continuing the forward trajectory of Sumner Select Basketball.

As we move progress, we will be hosting a series of informational sessions for parents and players to learn more about the UA Future Circuit and what it means for the families within our program individually and collectively.  The UA Future Circuit is very competitive and over time we will evaluate what is best for each team and where we will need growth. We will also begin providing additional on court training and off court resources to help our players prepare for the increased commitment necessary to succeed.  Sumner Select Basketball is committed to making the Under Armour partnership a success and can't wait to reap the opportunities it brings not only our program, but our community as a whole.

It is important for everyone to know that this is a major accomplishment as not all teams that apply are granted this opportunity.  Encourage your players to continue striving to reach their individual and team goals. Encourage your family and friends to support our program consistently as the main goal above all is to provide an ever lasting experience for our players.

Thank you to the coaches whom continue to go above and beyond to ensure they are prepared for practices and games.  Their efforts on and off the court continue to be the major reason for our success. They are selfless leaders and I could have not asked for a better group of men to help lead our program.
